On-site separation and
sorting of waste streams
Trained staff in full PPE and the necessary equipment are provided to separate and sort waste, extracting recyclable material and in so doing reduce the amount of waste that is produced.
This is called waste minimisation. This is a highly skilled process - as an example, there are many types of plastic - made from different resins and materials and these come in different forms and colours.
PET, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, LLD, PP, PS. Rigid, film, bottle, flexible. Clear, print, colour etc. Each one of these options in its different forms and colours could be a grade or sub-grade of separation for the recycling market.
